Here’s what you need:
– chocolate non-dairy protein powder, I prefer either Vega or Sun Warrior
– slivered almonds
– almond butter
– flax seeds
– chocolate chips (Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips are naturally dairy-free!)
– a ripe banana
– some water
You’ll want to mix about 1/4 cup of the protein powder with some water. It’ll turn into sticky paste. Mash the banana into it, and you have a very nice, healthy, and tasty binding agent for your protein bars.
Mix in 1/4 cup flax seeds, 1/4 cup chocolate chips, 1/4 cup slivered almonds, and 1/4 cup almond butter.
Stir like crazy! If it’s too sticky/stiff, add a bit more water. You want the right consistency, not runny but not something you can’t quite stir either.
Add to a pan and then stick into the freezer. Tasty!
This should make around 12-15 bars depending on what size you make them.
